Canada is investing $3.2 billion over three years to help newcomers integrate into the workforce and address labour shortages in key sectors like healthcare, construction, and tech.
More than 520 organizations will receive funding to deliver services such as language training, credential recognition, and job readiness support. The plan emphasizes region-specific, outcome-driven programs, including special support for Francophone immigrants outside Quebec.
Immigration Minister Lena Metlege Diab said the investment aims to ensure “newcomers thrive and help build Canada’s future.”
This initiative supports Canada's broader immigration goals and economic growth strategy by better aligning immigration with labour market needs.
